Rescue Avenue is a nonprofit ministry operated by New Hope Church of Visalia.

Pastor Patrick Lozano created the ministry over seven years ago.

The concept of Rescue Avenue is to bring meals, activities, and clothing into depraved neighborhoods that are outside the city limits of Visalia such as Goshen, Ivanhoe, Farmersville, Linnell Labor Camp and the Woodville Labor Camp

Rescue Avenue is brought into neighborhoods with the cooperation of local law-enforcement, and a block party type atmosphere is created.

The key ideas behind RA is to bring light into darkened neighborhoods, to feed the needy, and to bring other goods that are not easily accessible for folks who do not live in close proximity to the Visalia rescue mission or Bethlehem Center.

Rescue Avenue relies on its volunteer base to execute these block party events in which love is spread through the giving of food and clothing.

Many people associated with RA have been volunteering their time since the inception of this program because of their addiction to the good that is being done in this otherwise seemingly small movement.
